I played the REVENGE series and a old Warlock from the 80's with double P's and to be honest while I found the Warlock from the 80's very good for any kind of rock I found the REVENGE series only barely capable to sound good through a pedal. Take with that what you will.

Personaly go with the other big two metal basses Scheter or Ibanez BC Rich just doesn't make 'em like they uset too. The old stuff was amazing great electronics, sturdy hardware, and good woods now not so much atleast not until you get in the Custom shop range.

A tech at my store has a custom shop BC Bich it sounds like angels singing and that's when it's clean.
