It's weird how they recently started showing early clips with another guitarist who was in the band during their first few albums. He was like a neighborhood friend.
I read Brian Wilson's autobiography. It was good. He mentioned the other guitarist and that he didn't like the way he played. When I finally saw clips of him I had to laugh, but it also made sense.
David Marks, he played with them a few times again though. He was with them for their short-lived (unfortunately) 2012 reunion, he's got the sunglasses on.

I Am Brian Wilson - Written by Brian.
Wouldn't It Be Nice - Written by Wilson's therapist Eugene Landy. Brian said he never read it, much less write it.
Now that you mention it I believe it was the earlier one, although I thought that it was published many years later. I remember it had a lot about his abusive father.

I used to be a Beach Boys nut, and I never heard about him until Brian's first book. Certainly never saw the pictures or videos that are available now...suddenly.
