Beat Buddy Opinion Wanted

My buddy just demonstrated his to me.
It sounded better than a lot of drummers I've worked with.
Very slick and easy to use.

MIDI connected to a Pigtronix Infinity works amazingly. I've been doing this since I had my Beat Buddy and I know @Mosfed can confirm as well.

Yeah you need Midi.

And the Beat Buddy is amazing. Maybe the highest value for money pedal I have ever bought.

Yeah unless you can find a good used deal that is pretty hefty. But that is the best combination if you want them to work flawlessly. MIDI is really required unless your technique on starting/stopping the looper is amazing.

Ouch. I don't know what the exchange rate is but that's pretty rough compared to here in the states.

We get ripped off left, right and centre here in Oz. Even when our dollar was above the US$ we still paid double or more for items such as iTunes songs and software. At one stage only a year or so ago it was cheaper for a business owner to fly to the USA, purchase the full Adobe Creative Suite and fly home than it was to buy it as a download! That's not even taking into account the fact that the vast majority of the flight and any subsequent holiday could be written off as a business trip.

Some people claim it is the long distance for shipping of physical items however many of those items these days come from Asian countries which are much closer to Australia. For instance, a Squier Jag Short Scale which I bought when our dollars were almost at parity, cost nearly double what it was in the USA. It was made in Indonesia FFS which is a lot closer to here than the USA.

I bought the combo recently and I think I was below $1k. I found the Infinity for $350 shipped or something with the footswitch and then the Beatbuddy was $300.
