Just some music from the Beatles tribute band I am in, it is very early days so the bass parts and performance are sketchy but let me know what you think

I like it sounds great but you must get a hollow body not only for the look but for the sound really nice job.
Welsh eh? I can't understand a damn thing you guys are saying. lol (I keed, I keed)
Anyway, I think there is a lot of potential there with the vocal harmonies for sure. I won't give you the obvious spiel about period correct guitars, amps, etc. Since I'm pretty sure you already know, but I think it is something to look into. Not saying you need to learn to play lefty ( though I know several guys who did to be " The Paul Guy"), but it would be nice to see some AC30s, Rics, Hofners, a Casino, etc..
The only criticism I will offer is that I think you guys were rushing a bit. Slow it down some. And get the "George Guy" to play some of the little bits that are missing, like the little sliding part in "From Me To You."
I think you're off to a damn fine start though. Nice job.

I agree with above. I'd encourage a little more refinement instrumentally. Pull down the "rock" knob a little and up the "control". It will push forward the vocals and give them more space.
Great, great job lads, very impressed. Not an easy task covering the Beatles. Keep it up and keep the posts (youtube) coming. Enjoyed the hell out of it!! Good luck!

Don't waste your money on a German made Hofner grab an icon or even an Epiphone bass the sound is unmistakable with a hollow body and you guys are on your way I'm a Beatles fanatic so I'm usually a little more critical than most.
Nice work, lads.
If you care about the Beatle Bass, just get an Ignition (Icon). I don't know about Wales but in L.A. you can get a new one for $250, $300 with hardshell case and strap (Norman's Rare Guitars, online or storefront). Throw down another $40 for LaBella flats online and you're there.
But enough about the equipment. You guys are on your way. I'll second the comment about tempo. Give it a bit more space and you'll get the feel of it, especially on Drive My Car. Oh, and watch that George harmony ("you can do something in between"). You've got the wrong note there. You need to do something different in between Paul and John, as it were.
Your drummer can ease back a bit, too. Ringo is very difficult to match. Your guy has more fills than needed.
I think your I Saw Her Standing There was topnotch. It had all the raw energy of the original 50-year-old gem. I'd listen to either yours or theirs and be happy. And I'm not easy to please.

My friend Brad Jones used his vintage Kay hollowbody this past Saturday with the Long Players performing Hard Day's Night and sounded awesome.
Great job Joel. Keep it up! I'm having the most fun I've ever had as a musician... Nothing like playing in a Beatles band if you can pull it off... BTW, try to pick up a used Hofner contemporary. I have used all 3 versions (icon, CT, 500/1) in our shows but now use the CT almost exclusively for the songs that call for a hofner. It sounds, looks and plays just like the 500/1 but I don't have to worry about taking a 2k+ bass to shows...

John really looks as close as you can get, and they All have the little movement quirks down.
That is a ton of work.
Very nice. IMO, there are two approaches to playing The Beatles. Either be a tribute band or a cover band. If you're going to be a "tribute" band you need to go all out with authentic gear, wardrobe, mannerisms, etc. You can be a "cover" band and just play the songs with your regular gear and sound as good as you can without having to nail down every nuance of each song.
Right now you guys are a great Beatles cover band but if you want to be a "tribute" band you'll need to go all in.
