Athe, sorry to hear about your trouble. Have you resent the email? If he hasn't replied in four months, he's simply not going to reply to THAT email. But that doesn't mean that he wouldn't reply if you sent him a fresh one. I emailed him a few days ago and have not received anything either, but that's par for the course... I'll give it at least another week before I consider resending. Nobody goes back four months in email unless they're searching for a particular email... if you want a reply, you definitely need to keep new emails coming in.

And James, if you get prompt replies from Fred, there are going to be a lot of confused and upset folks on this forum.

Thats what I thought a month ago, so I sent him another one :(
I guess I could send another one but it feels hopeless, I mean if he wanted to answer my other two he could've, so either he's deliberately ignoring me (which I dont really think:D) or there's something sketchy with his or my email account.

That new shape is starting to grow on me. Really flows well with the headstock, and I'd probably like it better if the top wasn't holly. I still think it would look best as an acoustic bass though. :D

Still waiting, haven't gotten an email update in 6 weeks. :(

my last email from Fred was on 1/25. We've exchanged at least a dozen emails since Christmas week... I know he's a busy guy and replies are usually a little slow. Not everyone lives on the interwebz like we do :p

Athe, get yourself a gmail or yahoo account... Fred's ISP must be eating your other address.

they share a couple of the same genes ;) the walnut is from the same slab as yours...that's about where the similarities stop :D hopefully in the next couple of days i should have some good news regarding the neck and fingerboard...the neck has been molded and is getting the fingerboard this week...the rest of the routes and carving will be done and finished this week, too...i'm assuming the electronics and pickup are standing by...that one pic had the bridge in it, so that's at least some of the hardware...yeehaw
