Big Dog....I have an Akita {natural guard dog} the Japanese used to leave their kids at home with them, they don't need ANY guard dog training, just your basic sit, come, go outside type stuff.
They DON"T bark {much}, they are "quiet" dogs, if they are barking, it's for a good reason.
They are better dogs if they are the only dog, they are very dominate by nature.

Maybe I'll just not go home for break and sit at home in the dark with my car parked down the street... with a round chambered in my 9mm
This is why I love armueller. This is the kind of crap I'd think up"Lights? Barking dog? No no no. I want them to come in and I want them to be deformed for life."
Electrocute the doorknob.
Chop an extension cord, tape off the ground and common lead, and solder the hot lead to the doorknob. Then solder some speaker wire to an iron rod, and shove the iron rod into the ground next to your back door. Run that speaker wire and open up the insulation. Fray out the wire, and lay it down on the doormat. Maybe use some hot glue or something to keep it from blowing off with the breeze. Then cover your doormat with leaves or grass clippings to disguise it a bit. He steps on the mat, starts with his crowbar to crack open the door, ZAP! Crook-kabobs.
Didn't I see something like this in "Home Alone"?Electrocute the doorknob.
