Beer!!!!!

Best beer on earth.

Maybe on the earth you reside on, but on this earth, the one the rest of us are on, Moosehead is a blatantly average brew.

For a more generally available beer, and one which may fit our friend ryco's request - Newcastle Brown Ale.

If you happen to be in Greensboro, NC, however, and wish for something very special, I suggest a trip to Natty Greene's and a pint of Old Town Brown.

Which I may just have to avail myself of tomorrow at lunch (they also have the best bison burger I've ever tasted! :D ).

471 IPA. Aggressive Hoppiness

Hoppy? Brother, 471 IPA redefines hoppy. 471 is a small batch, limited edition ale that was created by our Brewmaster to separate the weak from the strong. 471 is a double IPA, that combines Pale, Munich, Caramel-30, Carapils and Torrified Wheat malts, with Chinook, Centennial, Simcoe and Fuggles hops. It has a big sweet mouthfeel, followed by more hoppiness than you've ever had at one time. Enjoy.

Did I mention 9.2% alcohol by volume, mmm, mmm, good
Breckenridge Brewery India Pale Ale

I'm sorry, you have to explain your avatar before I will listen to any more of your opinions on good beer. . .

:smug:

Pabst it what we used to buy when we had slip and slide parties (like a 75 ft slip and slide) every year and we would play music and get obliterated drunk on the stuff and go down this huge hill on Lowe's supplied heavy duty plastic in a pit that was dug by my guitar players grandads Bobcat (hole was lined what plastic).

We would literally have about 200 Pabsts sitting around in coolers due to being 9.99 a 30 pack. I ALSO collect old Pabst tins and serving trays.

I will drink Pabst if I have it on hand, but my tastes and wallet have matured to microbrews. :)

What's scary is that Pabst is a blended beer (from like 30+ blends). I think they literally take what's left after all of the other beers are made and can it up as Pabst.

EDIT: One of my favorite Pabst ads. "Right down my alley"

Enough? :)

Good enough for me. :)

When I was in college one weekend I drove one of my buddies home since I was going home and it was on the way.

We stopped in and he asked if I wanted a beer. So as always when presented with that question, I said yes. So we go out to the garage and he opens his dad's second fridge, which is completely filled with nothing but cans of Pabst. At least 60-70 cans of beer. He grabs two and we head inside and hang out a bit.

A bit later we hear his dad come home and pull into the garage. Seconds later we hear, "WHO'S BEEN DRINKING MY BEER!"

haha i'm drinking good ole' Pilsner.

I too spent more money than I should have on gear this week....

Ahhh... And I drank way too much o fthis tonight before jamming (and coincidentally spending too much cash no gear). It was satisfying drinking beer from sask while watching the lions destroy the roughriders though... That'll learn ya saskatchewan.

Gard...I never noticed you lived in Greensboro...
Please tell me you go to that pub between the baseball field and library...Old Town I think they call it, beside that little hot dog place? One of the best reuben's I've ever had in my life. I ate it with a Red Oak...mmmm, one of my top 10 meals ever...all their food is good...

Or is the place called Natty Greene's? I forget...also, they have some of the best Guinness in the states. THey actually keep it at the proper temp, bartenders are hot and know about beer(females anyway), and they draw a clover leaf in the head. Good stuff.
