Speaking of after TB, in like a month, my main board will look totally different!

Maybe we should all post again a month from now I know it's what the PYPB and breeder threads are for but, you know, it's funny how even a month on here changes things.

I should also take a picture of my dad's board. Before I got on TB, he had no pedals, not even a tuner. He's played bass and guitar since the 1960s.

He now has 4 Joyo pedals, an Empress compressor, a Mustang Floor, and a Boss RC-300

I really wish I kept the pics of my mostly "b.k. Butler" board right after i joined here... 3 blue tubes, real tube overdrive and a Demeter tube direct....it was kind of sick, but it worked pretty well except the hum noise tube pedals seemed to make in certain rooms, but no lack of warmth from me....yaksonator told me about blue tubes when I was desperate for a "Swell" brand or Myco pedal, I gotta say, the blue tube sounds almost identical to the swell bpeg(not the bpro though, which I ordered again)

I have none of these now, wish I would've save a picture though, sorry....i can post some tomorrow maybe when I get to a real computer!!

Q: How is this possible?
A: Pedals

I play music, not bass, not gear — Sometimes I still play in black and white, but often I play in full Technicolour.
I find that both B&W and Colour are good ways of expressing myself.

YES/\ This!! Well put sir!! I see tone as flavors, some guys are happy with no spice or variety, I like Chinese food, Mexican, Italian, Korean, Indian......

Variety is the spice of life!! I like alot of "flavors" at my disposal....

You ever hear a band play "P.Y.T." With a dry bass tone?? It's boring...you guys get it....there will always be haters though!!

I've made this point before but I think it's worth repeating - most of my major board changes happened when I was either between projects or when my gig schedule dried up.

When I was gigging a lot I made due with what I had. I might swap one OD for another or try a different octaver etc but my board didn't change much. It was really when I had too much free time that I'd turn a critical/bored ear to my pedal setup and make wholesale changes.

And even knowing that I'm in the same position once again. And so I think it might be time to artificially restrict myself to a PT Mini just to get back to basics and refocus a bit.

Many thanks to Chris Fitzgerald for the cleanup on aisle 6. This thread needed a good pedicure and got it. Will definitely just hit "report" not "reply" in future. I am so done with trolls in this sub-forum.

That's the bigger problem with trolls. They make life difficult not only for us, but for the mods who are overworked as it is.

I like the food analogy much better. I've used it in the past; but I'm very visual so... I must've just ate not to have thought in food terms. Sooooo much more scope for food, cause then you've got flavours, textures, aromas, colours and shapes... oh my! ... so much more.

Yeah, I hear you. That's why I've got two boards. One for giggles and one for gigs. Even so, there's revamping to be done on both. I just had a gig drought end. Wound up tearing everything off my PT-Mini except the Pre-AmpDI and tuner for the gig. Next gig I'll put a few choice pedals back on it, mostly utility but a few sonic spicey enhancers. The main reason I tore it down was I didn't have time to test it before heading out the door.

It helps to refocus...

...but sometimes it's hard to stay focused.

3 ls2's??? I love mine, but wouldn't it be easier to get a multi switcher pedal(not judging BTW)

I like how the 3rd one down is all lit up(I'm like a little kid with "Yay, shiny stuff!!")

haha yah it was meant to do some blending, that was my synth set up which i no longer used.

i think the korg g5 and the sa manta is running a/b, the same with the two darkglass pedal, the middle one was meant to mix (a +b) my synth section and my dirt section, thus -> i can have a dirt and synth running at the same time... is just that the ls2 abilities to be run in parallel and switch it back to series make it a very versatile setup, i did have a true bypass looper but it does not offer the versatility it does with three ls2.

That makes sense, yeah the ls2 is super versatile, I've only used mine for a clean blend though, nice setup BTW!!
