Behold! A mirrored jazz bass pickguard in GOLD

I'm looking for a gold mirror pickguard for a Jazz bass, like the examples below.
I can find the clear or silver ones, but no luck on gold.
The guard on the P bass pictured below is less reflective, but that would work too.
I would prefer to be able to just buy it without having it custom made.
Any leads?

I used to have an ivory white jazz bass with a gold mirrored pickguard. It was gorgeous. Not sure where to source one these days, but I'm sure someone will be along shortly who does. Just wanted to chime in and say it's a great look.

Once upon a time, Fender themselves offered solid brass replacement hardware.
I bought mine in 1982ish. Looked alot like the pictured P above.
But.... you have to religiously keep it polished. Sweat, fingerprints, smoke, and spilled beer will make em tarnished.
I....didn't.
But if you enjoy polishing, there's bound to be some still out there somewhere.

Need to know which Jazz body you want a guard for.

WD is where I would go. They're not cheap. Around 50 bucks before taxes and shipping for the mirrored guards, and they are thick, like 4 ply thick. You'll never need a thumb rest with one of these guards.

When you select the material from the material list, they are in numerical order, gold mirror is #10GD

When you see the computer representation of the material, it looks like crap, all of their materials do. Remember it is just a computer representation and a bad one at that. I got some of their smoked mirror guards for two Jazz basses and they look phenomenal.

You can see actual Invalid Link Removed and they are in numerical order on this page as well. Again scroll down to #10GD. But you still can't really see the reflectivity. A good example of this is their smoked mirror material, #10S, it looks flat gray in their pic, but in reality it looks like this...

It's a 70's Vintera, which is a somewhat replica of a 70's Jazz bass.
The pickguard for 70's Jazz basses has that screw hole above the neck pickup.

4 string or 5? You showed a pic of a 5 string. But I'm guessing 4 string since you said it's more like a 70s style bass

Buy a fender gold anondized and start polishing....

plenty of sellers on eBay. Some cheap ones from China - quality may vary, but it's a piece of plastic that is purely cosmetic so how bad could it be? The cheapest ones are cheap enough that a little adjusting to fit wouldn't be stressful. There are some more expensive ones that offer more specific fit information.

I made some gold mirrored parts for my Bass Collection over 5 years ago.

Definitely a huge visual improvement over the original black parts.

Plus, I managed to use the laser machine to engrave the same logo with same font type.

Ah, I'd just order a piece of sheet brass from McMaster-Carr, cut it to shape, polish on a bench grinder with a big buffing wheel. If you don't want to polish constantly, clean thoroughly with acetone, then spray with clear Krylon and you'll get a couple years without having to polish. By the time you've managed to cut an accurate shape, drill & countersink for the screws, polish, and clear coat, you'll have learned some useful skills.

Well, I don't know if I could find a mirror finish "gold" (actually brass) pickguard on the internet, but I can guarantee that I could make one from scratch. In fact, I'd rather do it myself.

But I guess I have to recognize that for a large fraction of the population now, if it can't be ordered on the INTERNET, then it just can't be had. Learned helplessness at its best! The marketeers have finally got y'all where they want you - hungry, horny, and unsatisfied, unable to meet your desires except by paying a PROFESSIONAL.

For me, a coping saw, a drill, a buffing wheel on my grinder, and I'm good to go.

Well, you're not being very clear, but I gather that you think being dependent on others to do simple stuff rather than taking care of it yourself is somehow superior, to being able to cut a piece of brass to shape.

Funny how those with severe cases of learned helplessness manage to construe their condition as somehow superior to those of us who know how to do things, while we construe our condition of competence in the physical world as superior to theirs.

Well, you can put whatever interpretation you want on it, but I'm going to keep on fixing the terlit for $0.00 rather than calling a plumber; resetting the circuit breaker rather than calling an electrician; changing my own flat tires instead of calling AAA; and if I need a piece of brass cut to a specific shape, I'll get out a coping saw and cut it myself. I guess I'm funny that way.
