Behringer 210

I love my BB410. I've had it for a year, no problems in sight. Great cab for little money.

Me too! I really love the sound of the Behringer rig I bought and it meant I had extra cash available for a Bass PODxt Live as well.

... and next week a new 5-string!! Oh yeah... I have narrowed it down to a US Deluxe Jazz 5 or a Lakland 55-02 and I can't wait. That's a grand I wouldn't have if I had bought the next cheapest rig I was happy with.

That's where I think there's a 4th category here, BassIan: gear that's both good and cheap, proving you don't have to spend tons of dollars to get decent sound. Maybe it's just sticker envy that moves people to diss the cheap stuff? ;)

In the end, your sound is your own - I said I didn't like the 210 when I played it and the 115 was low and muddier, but I loved the 410. Heath liked it the other way round, as did others. Each to their own - I and the guys I play with are very happy with my sound and I paid a lot less for it than I thought I would have to, so I'm happy.

Not really. Most people who don't like Berhinger for whatever reason will just as soon recommend a nice Avatar and Ashdown rig, costing nothing more than the Berhinger rig.

That's where you guys are so lucky - we don't get those sort of prices in Australia. Closest prices are Hartke alum cone cabs, and Laney.

Avatar seems not to have dealers here, and Ashdown is almost twice the price as Behringer, and for that I was looking at second hand GK or Fender gear.

I played one rehearsal with borowed BX4500 and BB410.
Sure it can sound ok. It can get loud enough too. The price is great. But compared to my Ampeg/Eden setup it sounded like ass.

If you are buying new gear, this setup for that money doesn't have much competition.

But once you look at the used gear market, you can do MUCH BETTER for that price.

my 2 cents..

all australian dollar prices here...

the behringer is $599

the ashdown mag series is pretty cheap 410 is $799,

also, the new warwick stuff coming out of asia is very cheap

410 $699 but no horn, although most people wanna turn the behringer horn off :D 411pro is $999

and the nemesis Nsp410 is around $1200 (double the behringer now when you think about it. but it is a very nice cab for the money and is nice and compact and light!

thats one thing, those behringers sure are heavy.

anyway, just some rambling.

guess you got the hartke vx in there too. $699

Dude, please don't buy that sunburst maple 55-02 Guy has in stock at the bass centre. I'm busting my balls to trade my MIA Deluxe P for that!!!

Yeh, my 410 is VERY heavy. So I bought an Eden 112XLT for when I can't be bothered to cart the thing around....
