Behringer Bass V-AMP Pro - Part II: Get On Back, Jack, Do It Again...

I can still get get the Bass model in Oz, but officially - I don't know. If you're thinking of getting one, I would do it now, just in case.

I have one already. I was just curious, because if this one ever crapped out, I would buy another one.

Found this while scrounging around the net. It explains things a little clearer than the manual, and will be particularly useful to programmers who need specs for the Sysex (*.syx) file formats.

Still looking for the Bass version, but the format should be pretty much the same.

Charlie: The Bass V-Amp Pro finally arrived today. I've had a quick tinkle with it, and I must say I'm impressed. For guitar, the models and tone leave my Zoom GFX-5 for dead. And I haven't even tried the bass out yet.

Now the fun part - finding a US store with a bluey in stock that will ship to Oz!

shipping is actually not that bad. It is when you get into heavy weight or oversized boxes where it becomes crazy.

I'm expecting the shipping to be somewhere around AU$70. Strange thing is that even with the shipping, it's still cheaper that what they sell for here.
Only problem now is not getting straight answers from any of the stores as to exactly how much the shipping is. They jerk me around or don't answer at all. I'm getting pretty peeved actually.

Yeah, I got a mate in Michigan. Looks like I might have to just purchase it and have it shipped to him. Then I gotta figure out how the get the money to him to ship it down under for for me.

Wouldn't things be so much easier if music shops would just answer emails and give straight answers. There's quite few here in Oz that I won't deal with again.

Funny that these types of shops are closing down all over the place and blaming the internet for their failures (particularly eBay). The reality is that it's their own service (or lack of it) that has always been, and continues to be the problem.

Hope someone can put together an unofficial editor for the V-amp as many people like myself cant get the official editor to work

Thanks guys. It took ages to change each setting in the editor, save the file after each change and then see which byte was changed (~~~shivers~~~), but I eventually got there.
