She's great and has great taste in a band, they kill!
Back to Belinda, I remember when the Go Gos first hit and it wasn't my thing, but I was newly single and dating and saw the reaction chicks had to just the fun of that band, and it hit me why they connected with the public. I've since really come to admire them.

Lead singer of the Go-Go's. I think she deserves more credit as a great front-woman. I don't think she wrote any songs, but her voice in my opinion was the key factor to their success.

I'm a fan. Heaven is a Place on Earth may be a huge radio hit, but it's a fantastic song.

Mad About You is a good one, and has a solid bassline that is well featured in the song.



Leave a Light On is another great song. George Harrison plays the excellent slide solo at the 3 minute mark.

If you can do even a decent job with a Simon and Garfunkel tune, your harmonies have to be pretty good.

I've always loved her voice, but it would get too warbly at times (I get weak)....I'm aging myself, but Anthony Newley and Mandy Patinkin as well. BTW....Susanna Hoffs!!!!! yeah boy!!!

Definitely dig the Go-Gos. I think Jane Wiedlin's contributions to the band outweigh Belinda's. Great band though.

She's great, but she has a thread in the Bassists subforum. I thought Belinda more than worthy of her own.

Sorry to Jane Wiedlin fans, but she would have been a nobody without Belinda's voice. That's my opinion.

I've also listened to interviews with both ladies, done by Belinda's son on youtube. Belinda's overall attitude is much better than Jane's. Kathy had a better attitude also. Jane has very extreme views, and her attitude shows it.

Belinda's also a better dancer than any of them.
