Compare that to Belinda's solo career.
Belinda and Charlotte were the ones who decided to break up the band after Jane left the band. But their minds were in a higher plane or something, because I could sympathize with Kathy who thought they could have continued. And of course, they did all reunite and continue in the future, and people still love hearing them play their hits.
Jane left after recording the third album because she didn't get to sing any of her songs. Her head was too big. And she didn't have the voice anyway.

And this in no way reflects my thoughts on either as far as talent goes ...... mostly toward what the people think which is where the the hits and $$$ come from.

I certainly wasn't expecting any Cherie Currie style adventures when I started reading Kathy's book. But I just finished the chapter about the intruder at her house in Hollywood when Carlene Carter and Charlie Sexton were visiting her. Scary stuff.
What is up with the east and west coasts anyway. Are those regions just full of crazy people?

I still play we got the beat on occasion. Didn't like the song when I was younger, I like it now.

...and I was REALLY surprised to hear (in Kathy's book) that her hit song "Mad About You" was actually written by the replacement for Jane Wiedlin who played with the band for a short while after Jane left, before they broke up the first time. Kathy also noted that they brought in Jane to sing backup on the song.

At the risk of violating TB's "no politics" rule, I will only offer this: No, I don't know.
But I suspect you and I would disagree on whatever generalization about coastals vs flyovers is being implied.
Not necessarily a big fan of Belinda or the Go-Go's but you can't deny her excellent voice and the catchy tunes. Further, if wikipedia is to be believed:
The Go-Go's were the first (and to date only) all-female band in history who wrote their own songs and played their own instruments to achieve a No. 1 album.
Much respect for that alone.

What makes you think that you have the qualifications to judge the morality of the millions of people, utterly unknown to you, on either coast? Why not just keep to the subject of Belinda Carlisle?
