Finally got a chance to go back to Benaventes and take my own pics.

Man I love that burl! Cant wait to see the black stain on it!

Here's my hand against the top of the neck for size reference. Really not that intimidating

Well I still have only my cheap-o 4 string bass, stupid Tenson starterkit. But later this year if it goes better financially, I'm going to purchase the Ibanez SR Premium 1206-vnf

You have no idea! I had to sell my only fretless to be able to afford it, so not only have I been waiting for this beauty, but i've had to go 4 months without a fretless! I cant wait to hear that buttery smooth tone!

Once this is done I'll also be getting a 7 string fretted double cut, like the other benavente thread thats current;y going.

After I have those two I dont really see myself buying any bass gear for the rest of my life... maybe just a new amp in a few years.

KR Guitars makes acoustics and fanned fret basses. On a whim, I thought I'd combine these ideas for a fanned fret 7 string acoustic guitar (27"-25").

I also have this Greg German 7 string hollow body on layaway.

I'm going to be working a LOT of overtime this year.

well here's my train of thought... there are tons of guys on here who are perfectly happy just playing 4 and 5 string fender P's and J's. I'm about to get two $4k-$5k basses in a row. some people could never dream of that.

I probably will want a new bass hear or there in the future, but not for a long time
