Berg HS210 - what heads are people using ?

Hi Peter,

This may be a little late if you have already gotten rid of the HS210 cabs, but if you still have them, try a Genz Benz GBE750 or GBE 1200 with them. It might just be what you're looking for - loud and punchy, and very suitable for what you are playing in your band.

I just picked up KJs old HS210. I just got done a/bing with with the Mesa BB750 and the Eden 405. I had the eden hooked up first and found some really nice tones in the bedroom setting. I agree with Ken that it has a bit of low end attenuation. With the eden 405 I had everything flat except the gain was midway, the warm button engaged, enhance was about midway (which cuts out some upper mid gank) and the bass and treble I toggled them to see what I liked. With the bass boost in it really helps out the low end attenuation on HS210 and I really liked the tone of that head thru that cab. The Mesa not so much. Probably to much mid meets mid as Ken would say. I cut the mids and boosted the bass an it still didn't sound that good. It sounded like it would cut very well though. This head actually kills through my epi UL410 S1 (probably because it is more mid scooped than the berg) . So I hooked up the berg HS210/Epi UL410 with the mesa and it sounded it better than the HS210 by itself with the mesa, but all in all I really like the Eden 405 HS210 combo and if I pick up another HS210 it won't be powered by the BB750. Maybe the Aguilar DB659 through QSC will be a winner (waiting on the power amp).

i'm pretty sure Senor Squid uses the TFB / HS210 setup. try PM'ing him.

as for myself, anythign all tube ROCKS w/ the HS210, like my sadowsky sa200.

I am now using an Aguilar AG500 w/ the HS210 for smaller stuff and it really dials in that warm, woody punchy tone. Perfect small combo in my opinion

I have a Sadowsky SA200. I have a HS and a Sadowsky Audio 2x10. Its essentially an HS. The Sad cab is slightly taller and slightly shallower. Weighs about the same. I stack them for bigger stages but most shows I use just one. I think they are the best sounding cabs for this head. Also thinking about picking up an HS4x10
