I don't think its the EQ. I switched cabs with the same EQ, no fuzzy noise from it and sounds exactly as I want.

But I do really appreciate all the info thus far. Keep it coming, cause this cab sounds killer and should perform just fine with the low end.

Ok now we are getting some where. Have you A/B'ed the cab with another cab with all the same settings? If the actuall distortion is coming from the cab at low volumes, then you may have a fried voice coil.

Yes, its posted somewhere on this thread ^^, used the same settings with my D610XST, didn't have any issues out of the 610, however that cab is in the shop for an unrelated issue with Eden.

How do I go about testing to see if one of the voice coils is fried?

Take the grill off, and lay it on its back. Very gently apply even pressure on each speaker cone. See if you can feeling any rubbing. Also touch the leads of a 9v battery to a wire through the jack. See if all the cones move the same way.
