I recently picked an NV 115 and couple of amps. A Markbass Big Bang and a GK MB Fusion 800. This cabinet is not quite what I expected. It has deeper lows and clearer highs than I anticipated. In fact I played through the HD 112, the 212 and the CN 212. i also played an HD 210.
After trying all these Berg cabs and found I like the NV 115 and the HD 210 the most, surprising since I had intended to buy the CN212. I bought the NV 115. Previously I used Eden and Accugroove cabs.
Both heads sound great, the Mark Bass is very quick and punchy, I can run it flat. Using the VLE and VPF knobs I can dial in a tone similar to my favorite Ampeg BA 115. Fat and punchy.
The GK Fusion 800 is looser down low and more present up high, a bit scooped and has that grindy GK thing. I find myself dialing back the bass and treble a bit. I could not get the GK to do the tight punchy thing as competently, it's a bit more bright sounding. Still sound great though.
I really don't know which amp I like best. They both sound great but a little different. I had some preconceived notions about the NV 115 until I heard it, not what I was expecting, in a good way.
