So, since I have NV GAS and have had said NV GAS for years... I check out the Berg page quite often. Well browsing tonight, I noticed the "NV412" and I have to say that I'm super excited. The thought of a sealed 412 has been an interest of mine for quite some time, and have been so close to pulling the trigger on a NV610 so many times.

Anyone have any info on this? Does anyone have one yet? If so please share your thoughts, if not... who will be the first and please fill us in on it all.

I might just have to pull the trigger.

Anyone else have any thoughts regaurding this... fuel my GAS.

Site says it weighs in at 8lbs more then the NV610 and 13lbs more then the NV215... that said, it still only comes in at 108lbs and that's only 8lbs more then my current cab (SWR Henry the 8x8).

I'm 6'4 and have a healthy frame, it's not a problem for me.

Here's a quote from Jims site on the NV412 specs:

- 4-12" woofers with vented pole pieces

Seems it goes a bit lower and as high as the NV610 but not as low and high as the NV215.

I wonder how the punch will cross over, I'm hoping it has a very punchy solid low end with a very present and punchy low-mid.

I really want to try one of these out.

Man - I put a couple of recycled plastic garden stakes-shaped & smoothed, then screwed into rear of NV610 & NV215, & I RARELY even HAVE to lift 'em(& compared to my old SVT410HLF they're easy & light!!!) I just roll 'em , tilt & slide 'em in! Even onto stages.... roll em up to the stage, tilt 'em over onto their backs & slide 'em onto stage.. then tilt/lift into uprite pos. I find em EASY cabs to handle. & I'm 5'9" & slight build--- the kind a footballer would call a "speed hump" ;-)

Love to see/hear the NV412 tho Doubt I will here tho. I think I'm the ONLY person in my town -maybe state- w/ ANY NV cabs-maybe any Bergs period. MUST ask George at

The NV215 is rated at 600 watts rms. Will that allow the NV412 at 800 watts rms to get louder? I dont recall pushing my 3 month old NV215 that hard but I blew a speaker out of it at some point already. Jim was great of course and sent out a new speaker to store I bought it at and asked them to drop it in for me. Cab sounds fine again but I see where alota folks like running big tube amps thru the NV cabs. Might I have just had a faulty driver or can the NV215 handle more powerful amps well? I have a B1500 I use with my 2 GB Neox 212T cabs but have not run it at a gig yet thru my NV for fear the potential 1200 watts at 4 ohms might blow another driver, course I dont crank that amp ever.

I was running my GBE750 thru the NV215. Did not hear anything out of order at last gig I used it but when I tried it at home before a gig is when I heard the distortion, so left it at home and used my other rig. Just wondering if the NV412 might be able to handle my more powerful B1500 amp better? Oh and yes I've been using alot more mids and less lows for awhile now, hope my NV215 is as good a cab as Ive read on here. I'd really like to try the big Carvin thru my NV cab. Have only done so at home for small practices, no gigs with that combo yet, but it does sound good at medium volumes.
Are the NV cabs voiced better for tube amps rather than SS amps? I mighta bought the wrong cab for my needs. :hmm:

I'm on it! This thing will rip with overdrive! Combined with my NV215 and NV610, this is tone nirvana! I emailed Bass Specilaties to find out a price and ETA - I think I'm gonna have to pull the trigger ASAP and get one drop shipped to me.

Jealous, I'm teetering the fence so hard right now if I should just buy it or wait and try it. I imagine if it's not my cup of tea I'd have an easy time selling or trading for the NV610... I don't think that will have to happen though :smug:

I wonder what it's going to sound like, maybe I should e-mail Jim to get his personal opinion.

JR, do you think you could share your thoughts with all of us once you recieve the cab, maybe put the review here? If not at least a link here?

I've not anticipated a new cab nearly as much as this one.
