In the spirit of the other thread where people listed their worst amps, I'd now like to switch gears and have everyone list the BEST amp they ever played through. If this thread gets over 10 pages, I'll again tabulate the results and post them up.

I'm going to throw my own vote in there for a TC Electronic BG250 combo. I have no complaints about the thing years after buying it.

GO!

I had a BG500 115 combo years ago (got stolen) and it was a great-sounding bar rig with lots of nice features.

I'm not going to necessarily list this as my favorite amp, but maybe my favorite combo (even though it was the only combo I've had). :)

An early-1970's Hiwatt 100 W head into a Hiwatt 4x12. The head was professionally serviced by a good amp tech, so it was in top shape. The loudest 100 W amp I've ever used - mind you, the gig wasn't that loud and I don't like playing loud, but the amp was so powerful I was at 9 o'clock on the volume control and even then it was plenty. Like being at the wheel of a powerful muscle car - plenty of power to spare.

Being fairly new to playing bass, I only have limited experience with amps, but my recently purchased Carvin MB15 with neo speaker and matching 115MB cabinet is it for me. (Here's my often used photo that I know I have to update.) My Phil Jones Double Four comes in a close second.
