The one with the neck shape you fit best. And then you can put stickers on if you want. No bassist I personally know can tell the brand or type of bass used on a recording. Many can’t even listen back to their own work and say what they used. I know I can’t.
But I do know I play better when it’s got a “63” C shaped profile on the neck. Save your money and try a bunch of basses and find the one that feels good. They all kinda sound like basses.

This is so subjective, I apologize I mean it in a kind way, but it all depends on the genre at hand. Really anything can work IMO. King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard (yes that's their name) started as a bluesy-garage rock Aussie band and used a Mustang with flats, now they have a 5 string microtonal bass. Garage rock theme bands I see everything used, of course mostly Fender products or Yamaha from my own view. For me personally whatever you like and you find fits your band, and for me that would be my jazz or a Yamaha personally.
any ax with two pickups (vs. one PU) would be my recommendation. looks are not important (dealer's choice).

Pretty much anything you like that keeps you interested in playing. In a garage band, it’s just as much about having an amp that easily can keep up with drums and loud guitars (it never fails, the guitarists keep turning up to try to keep up with the drums and you have to be able to match). Find a bass you like playing while not worrying about the name on the headstock and invest in a good amp.
Whatever makes you happy playing is what you should play.
Make sure you get something that sounds and looks good to you. Something you're going to look forward to playing.
