Me says PJ configuration on basswood or alder does a very very nice old school trash type of tone. If you can grab an 80's jackson or Charvel, it should do the job just fine.

I'd pick an Ibanez SR - a fast thin neck, tremendous low end, and crisp highs, but then again I'd pick it for everything![]()
