Best Bass Intro!

"Sure Know Something" - KISS (on the Unmasked record I believe?)
"Jet City Woman" - Queensryche (THE best bass tone!)
"Sweet Child Of Mine" - G n R (Just a great one.)
"Animal (I Have Become)" - 3 Days Grace (I dropped my low E to a D flat to play this one in my band. That was AFTER we already tuned to E flat! My bass hated it!!)

Jerry Jemmott ‘Memphis Soul Stew’
Chas Chandler ‘We Gotta Get Out of this Place’
Chas Chandler‘In My Life’
Jack Bruce ‘Badge’
Jack Bruce ‘Smiles and Grins’
Muff Winwood ‘Keep On Running’
James Jamerson ‘My Girl’

[["Don't Give Up" by Peter Gabriel… Weather Report- Birdland

Good call.

Good call.

birdland actually starts with synth playing a legato bassline, and then the bass guitar comes in playing a melody...

(Rolls eyes.)

I swear to God, I walked into Walmart the other day and Birdland was playing over the Muzak system. Not an elevator version, but the original Weather Report. I was walking around Seasonal with a grin on my face and humming the bass line, people probably thought I was either stoned or gay.
