As it happens, my favourite (Jaco) is on there.

We can relly compare Victor Wooten and Jaco Pastorius cause they play in a style totally different.. Jaco Pastorius (Jazz) and Victor Wooten (Slap&Popping).... But I choose Jaco Pastorius (off course) cause I prefer what he do (that's a choice totally subjective)....

I once saw this really old lady, she played one of those "Gut Bucket" basses. Constructed out of an old washtub, broom handle and string.
She had the "TO DIE FOR TONE". Her technique was incredible.
I can't remember her name, but she was probably the best player I have ever seen or heard.

Jaco is far ahead of every other bassist that i have heard. He is one of the legents of the electric bass and I think he is the inspiration for most of us here.

Gary Willis, Jeff Berlin & Sean Malone are some folks that have equal or more chops so check them out.
