Best bass strap?

Hey all,
I just picked up a new bass and I am in need of a strap, so what is the best strap that has true best durability, comfort, and price?
Lets debate!

I like the black Dunlop straps. They're a lot more heavy duty than other nylon straps and much cheaper than anything leather.

I think a lot of it comes down to personal preference. I like Franklin straps. I don't like gimmicky looks, and I like wide straps that don't slip around. They've got a bunch of fit the bill, and they're a lot less expensive than pretty much anything other than the ones that look and feel cheap.

Levy's 4.5" padded leather bass strap for me. All my basses had them.

I like pliable leather straps and suede straps--they mold to my shoulder and are very comfortable.
I'm not picky about brand-as long as it's pliable and a solid colour with no pictures on it, I'm good.

I have had good results with Levy's leather straps also. I have three, but the wide one is the most comfortable. They are not cheap, but they last for years.

I'm planning to pick up one of these. The only negative I've heard about these is that they run a little long, and I'm not one to wear my bass slung low. I suppose I could have it shortened, if it's as comfortable I've heard.

Levy's 4.5" padded leather bass strap for me. All my basses had them.

Mono

I have both of these.. the Mono strap I keep in my gig bag and the Levys strap I keep at home.. both straps have Dunlop straplocks on them as do all my basses .... Both are good straps.. I also have the first leather strap that I bought for my Jazz bass back in 78.. It's just a wide strip of leather but I have not seen any like it in years.. most of the newer ones the leather is much thinner..

No competition to these as far as I am concerned. Infinitely adjustable. The Divine models are softer, the standards models have stiffer leather. The prices are expensive I know, I bought a bunch before the price skyrocketed from Gerald Reese. Been using them for years.

I got the Neotech Mega Bass Strap about a month ago & absolutely love it! It has just about 10" of adjustment. I'm 6'2 & have my bass just above my waist & there is still plenty of adjustment to go either way.
Being that it's neoprene, it's soft, got some give & I find it quite comfortable.

Neotech does have a shorter version. It's a part number 8301252. But, nobody stocks it. Neotech lists it on their website, but if you pull up the order screen, it's not listed. I'm sure you could get it as a special order, though.

I e-mailed their webmaster. Maybe they will update it.

The only straps I'll use now are made by Souldier. (http://www.souldier.us/, check it out) Great patterns, recycled leather and seatbelt and whatnot, lifetime guarantee! Not cheap, but seriously awesome.

Another vote for MONO Betty. It's the most comfortable strap I've ever used.

I live in a humid climate and sweat like crazy when playing, so anything made of leather isn't even up for consideration.
