Best Bass Synth Pedal

I've got a G5, it's brilliant n I luv it but they're very hard 2 find n I guess biggish $ nowadays n the Akai Deep Impact?? Fogeddaboudit!!! I'm v happy with my Zoom B1on n MS60B as the major fx I use r synths n octaves n either of these r an excellent choice n crazy cheap 2 boot, from $50-90, depending which n where u buy. Try em out n u will c ur inner fatness ooze greasily out!!

Chris's bass synth website is very useful. I own a Chunk OS & that will definitely get you that Gap band sound, I use it for their 'Burn Rubber on Me' song. Chunk pedals are not made anymore, however, there are a couple on here currently in the classified section. Beware the user interface though - it takes time and patience to create (and load) new effects! ;)

You may be able to get away with the synths on the Zoom ms60b. I use them all the time, just to play around at home, and I think theyre totally usable. Especially in a live setting. Plus you get a whole lotta other effects. I think it comes loaded with at least 3 synth patches. You can make your own too of course. Plus the pedal brand new is about $100 roughly. Def worth a look.

I am in a desperate search for a Synth / Octave... something huge and crazy to fill a gaping hole on my board, but for a different reasons.
Looking for some crazy ass space / trippy sounds.

Have been looking at this cheap guy here - digitech bass synth wah.
Only draw back it doesn't have level / blend knob and some ppl reporting it being way louder than unity gain.

You can spend a lot of money on bass synths, and I certainly have, for now I am doing just fine using a Zoom B2 or B3 although you should certainly check out the B3, MS60B or the new B1on. For about what you will pay for a dedicated synth pedal and get more bang from a mulit effect.

Cheap: Zoom B3

Expensive, difficult, but tooootally awesome sounding: Roland GR-55

Both are pitch tracking so occasionally glitchy if you don't have great technique. Both have additional effects you can use, with the Zoom having a lot more usable multieffect offerings.

I wish I was in a band where I could use bass synth more. Both of these currently sit in my china cabinet unused.

For the price of the Roland GR-55 you could get some good hardware keyboards. And if you can actually play keys, it'd be a lot more usable I'd think.

I beg to differ on the Zoom synth sounds, they are very usable once you get the feel for them and you have all the other efx to add freak and phatness.
I found the B2 such a good synth I sold my Deep Impact and stopped pining for the Korg. I do still have the EHX BMS that is brilliant for the truly analog tones.
