Best Bass under 300! + more...

Wow now this is whay I love forums, great suggestions. I had played a few MTD models a few years back and really liked them. Will have to do some research on the SX have not heard of that. I will definitely be looking into this pedal. The Zoom is kind of neat but I have had it for about a month and have used maybe 3 settings most are just neat but unuseable.

I also suggest the Squier VM or CV lines. Especially if you can find them used. They're great deals for the money. I am not personally a fan of SX, I've only played a few, and hate to judge the entire brand by them but I didn't find them comfortable, they were heavy as hell, and they all needed a thorough set up including fret work, and personally I would replace the pickups and electronics and bridge and probably tuners too. By the time you do all that, you're spending more than you would on a squier VM or CV and it won't even be as comfortable to play as a squier.

Also, no matter what bass you get, Get the Tech 21 Sansamp bass driver DI. It's the most useful thing I have in my rig. I recommend them to every bassist.
