Best bass wah????

dunlop 105q bass wah all the way.. i have used other wahs.. gigfx sub wah was the WORST wah i ever used. i was not pleased by any means by way of quality, overpriced.. poor construction, and poor sound.. the morley bass wah was pretty damn cool. but the footprint was too big.. pedalboard real estate is very precious

I just put mine at the very end of my chain with good result. But now y'all have me thinking. If I had a dollar for evey time I changed my order/revamped my board, I'd have more pedals.

At the end is a good way too, you get a great sweep that way.
I use Darkglass Vintage Microtubes as an always on tool, I never turn it off. It goes after my 105Q and it gives me more aggressive wah tones. It dirties up the wah, in a nutshell.

I have tried many/most of the wahs mentioned and I highly recommend the Wilson. Of course I have mine for sale but only since I decided to scale back on my pedal collection. I would buy another Wilson if I needed a wah.

I have no idea how much Stanley really had to do with this thing... but his name is on it and it's expensive.

With that said, it has some really cool features...

Rocktron Black Cat Moan is my favorite. Really nice because its true bypass and has distortion you can mix in.

Me too bit concerned about the lack of moving parts meaning that cables are going up and down all the time, which could lead to jack damage. Also, you still have to rock it forwards to activate which is annoying when compared to weight sensistive wahs.

I own and use the morley dual bass wah.. It's great, built like a tank and has the opto pot that never gets scratchy. But as someone else said it has a huge footprint.. i really want to try the George lynch red dragon where you can set the frequencies that are sweeped.

I feel the same way. Even with that cradle it seems like it wouldn't ever be attached. You'd have to put it next to your board like I see other people put their wahs and volume pedals. It would def be odd.
