Since there are thousands of bassists here on TB let me make a suggestion. It seem like the Moog Low Pass Filter might be riged to perform wah duties using the EP-2 expression pedal.
Has anyone done that and would they be willing to write about the experience. The Murf might be a candidate for wah-hood also. The Moog pedals may be pricey but if you can get more than one function out of them, or any other pedal, the bang for the buck ration goes up.
I look forward to hearing from someone who has tried this.
It definitely works, as does using the Xerograph as a wah. One thing to keep in mind is that both of those are low pass filters and most wahs are bandpass filters, with the EBS (and a few others) being exceptions. It's a somewhat different tone and not quite as good as a dedicated wah.
That said, I use my Xerograph (in 2 pole mode, fairly high resonance, frequency set around 2 o'clock with some blend) as my only wah and I think it's a killer extra feature for what is already an amazing pedal.
weeping demon is the best i have ever heard
I had a Weeping Demon for a while. Definitely a very versatile wah with lots of parameters to tweak.
