Best beer for practicing bass!

But what's the best bass for practicing beer?

Ok that's damned funny too. Any bass will do as long as you have beer!

Since you mentioned inspirational I must say Amen. Since you mentioned a Monkey I say look up the trunk monkey commercials. We bass players need a trunk monkey sometimes either to bring us more beer or take care of our critics. What do you think?

The only Scotch that is smokey is an Islay Scotch and there are a lot of mediocre ones out there. Islay Scotch has a smokey, peaty aftertaste because the malts used for the Scotch are roasted over peat fires. Dried peat has been used as fuel for fires in that part of Scotland for at least a thousand years. In my opinion the best of those is Lagavulin. If you don't like Lagavulin, you won't like Islay Scotch. Of course then you might want to try Highland Scotch or Speyside Scotch. Each is distinctly different from the other. The biggest problem with them is they are way too spendy to do as an aside to anything. So back to beer for practice and then just enough...not too much.

Truth is that most Yanks are not too keen on the smokey, peaty, and salty. I like one now and again, especially if a friend is sharing, but I prefer Highland and Speyside.
