Best Class-D amp for metal

With a GK MB200 through an Avatar neo 2x10 I've had ZERO issues getting aggressive tone. You can hit the rails pretty hard with the Boost up on those GK heads. This was also using a P-bass or an Ibanez SRX3EX, so your bass will matter a lot as well. There are many variables such as strings, preamp, EQ, pedals, etc. I also like how the GK's take effects pedals on the front end, never have any issues with them at all.
I play through a Carvin BX500 and Sansamp Programmable bass driver, I think it rocks pretty well for metal. The Sansamp is the real jewel though, it gives me that little edge of overdrive and plenty of growl to cut through my two loud guitarists and incredibly loud drummer. The best part is that the Carvin is super cheap and made in America.

According to that thread (what's the metalest amp head that has lights on it | TalkBass.com), it's the one with the most lights on it... 
I mean. The answer is pretty much anything. I would recommend whatever amp you can afford that has a tube preamp so you can dial in a little dirt when you want it, and enough wattage in the power section to move whatever cabinet it is you decided on.

Dude, offering insight into amplification is one thing. Stating (inaccurately) that all heavy metal heads "think" they need a genre-specific brand of gear falls into the category of smack talk that I don't hang with. A lot of people have helpfully offered up info about a wide variety of gear they use to achieve a wide variety of sound. That is a lot different than "what is the pointiest headstock?" or some crud. Not trying to harsh your mellow, but telling me what "all metal heads think" is not going to fly here.
metal and micro amp are not synonymous dude. rethink this
my shuttle 9.0 was used as a backline amp a couple weeks ago for 4 pretty hard hitting metal bands, full stacks, double kicks, everything.
performed in spades. got the agro punch when you dial the preamp a little harder, crank the mids and punch the mix in the balls.

No doubt, that thing could easily keep up. Especially with a real set of speakers. I'd love to hear what a Streamliner sounds like with the gain cranked on my sealed 410 stack.
TC blacksmith is a great amp, even if some of the features like the spectracomp and tube tone are gimics. Mesa's are also amazing, if you want micro check out the new subway 800. Can't go wrong with an m6 though! Ampeg is classic for metal, although to me their recent solid state offerings don't stack up well to the competition. SVT4 is their best solid state amp imo. Any of these amps with a b7k or sansamp and a good compressor is all you'll need for metal. That and a 410 or 810 by mesa or ampeg.

Honestly, I think effects are a mandatory if you want the classic metal tone you hear on stages or on records. Pretty much every bass player out there on the big stages are using compressors and sansamps or some overdrive. No amp out there is going to give you that tone out of the box. Go into any studio to record and that's what you'll be put through.
This is kind of an oxymoron. What is the lightest amp for heavy metal? Not quoting the topic creator or anything like that. I'm just pointing out some funny irony in regards to Class D amps/Metal.
Great amp, I own one myself but pretty far from Class D. Larry Hartke spoke of one in the works but no info as of yet. I messaged him on Facebook last year and he said there will be one coming out soon.
Kinda vague, he's somewhat against class D amps and tube amps as well except for the preamps. Maybe his team over at the Samson plant is handling it.
