Best Class-D amp for metal

I used to own an Ampeg PF800 and used it for heavy music with a pair of 410's. It got the job done pretty good.
Don't get me wrong stuff is pretty good, but the newer ampeg stuff has a notoriously high failure rate. To my ears it also doesn't sound as good as the older or all tube ampeg stuff. Also don't think it sounds as good as the modern mesa stuff. It can work for sure, just wouldn't be my first choice. This is only for the amps though, I think that the modern 810s sound just fine and are as reliable as ever.

Wood goes best with metal in my opinion.

For Overdrive OCD V3 all the way baby.

I guess it depends on the kind of metal you're thinking of.

Sabbath-y metal: something like an Aguilar TH500 that can add as much hair to the sound as you'd ever want.
More modern metal: MB800. Quick and clean, but also capable of that GK grit that metal players like.

Traynor SB500H is the best Class D amp for this one genre (take a deep breath)...

Hard-Math Thrash-Core Prog-Aggressive-Groove Black-Doom Post-Djent Trad-Funk'n'metal Alt-Nu-Folk-Celtic Canadian-Tundra Pornogrind-Jazz Punk.

Yup, that's one genre. It's very niche.

The music really reflects the wide-open frozen tundra north of the treeline, where only an inukshuk, some stars and the Northern Lights are there to guide you – it's a frozen-lake reflection of a Canadian's isolated soul, even whilst amidst a sea of fellow Canuckian citizens.

So far the biggest hit is "Boiled Moose Nose for Breakfast" (it's the first of the songs I made up that didn't cause my cats to escape to the rooftop).

I think I'm the only Canadian playing this genre at the moment, but I'm going to put out some lithographed flyers and maybe a 'zine to spread the word.

PS: Forgot to say a Rusty Box is mandatory
