Best crappy guitar to usb interface?

So, I'm after a CHEAP usb adapter to just plug into at home.. mainly for guitar actually as I sold my guitar amp but still like to play with six strings from time to time. Any recommendations? I plan on getting Amplitube free edition but the Stealth adapter seems kind of expensive for what it is and what I want to use it for. This is a strictly casual affair, but I'd rather it not sound TOO terrible.

I've kind of narrowed it down to either the Behringer Guitar Link (around $50) or this cheap Chinese knock off that looks the same (new Guitar to USB Interface Link Cable PC/MAC Recording | eBay) for $15. I don't suppose anyone has any experience with either? Or am I better off just getting the Stealth?

Thanks!

Regarding the Behringer: Can you just plug it in via usb and get the sound out of your computers speakers? As in, without plugging the speakers into the headphone jack? Have you had any issues with sound only coming out one side? Thanks!

You have to make sure you get the latest correct driver from berhingers site, the asio one, for it To work properly. (a lot of People complain about it not working while they are not using the correct and latest drivers and just plugging it in) , the sound plays out of both left and right channels for me, I use it with a windows 7 32bit netbook. I've also used it in ubuntu 10.4 and it was pure plug and play no issues with drivers or the software i've used finding it.

Worldwide search on eBay you'll find free shipping as well.
The uca222 plugs into USB. It works better with pc than mac, energy xt the free software is not bad. If u have windows 7 run it in XP mode I'm told, but it all worked fine for me on 7. If your amp has rca out, plug into it that way, otherwise I made a cable and put 2 RCA inputs on an old guitar lead. Worked great. I still have it nut I've upgraded to m audio and logic pro.

Sorry to “violate the dead” here, but I wanted to chime in that the little Behringer UCG interface is in fact a gem, given the context of this post.

I had one in a box, that I kinda forgot about. Since they recently Made Cakewalk Free, I downloaded it, yesterday actually. It’s pretty solid looking, but have only just barely looked...

I dig up and dusted off my little Behringer guitar interface and ran a lead from the record out on a small 4 chanel mixing board that I use for practicing at home. Bass on Chanel 1, drum pedal on Chanel 2. The lead Goes right into the 1/4” guitar in. I use the headphone out in the mixer because there’s a pretty’s significant amount of latency if you use the headphone out in the Behringer.

So, now I can record and for (basically) free. Looking forward to the humbling experience of hearing back that I’m not as good of a bassist as I think I am!!
