Best Delay Pedal

Re: EHX Canyon - I bought one and I love it and I've barely begun to explore. I still wish that I could have these features with saveable settings. I'd pay extra for that.
I have seen and heard great reviews for the Canyon for guitar, but not for bass. Hoping someone will post some bass clips on youtube soon. What worries me about the device is that, unlike more expensive devices (which also have a larger footprint) it does not have a separate foot switch for tap timing the delay. Does this omission matter during a gig? Would it be more confusing to use - for example, when you try and tap time the delay, the device instead switches to another delay mode?

From the reviews I've seen, the tap timing works pretty well, though I haven't tried it yet. It has a jack if you want to add a switch for tap timing.

The EHX Canyon is on my to buy list...

just added to my buy list, ordering soon.

Canyon Deluxe or Grand Canyon would be the next logical step.

What i don´t understand is why the looper function does not work in combination with those delay modes.
