If you’re willing to spend more than 100 bucks go for the Protec Contego, it’s a fantastic padded gig bag for about $150.

This. A titch over $100, but with the occasional coupon code, it's a bargain. Have one for my DeArmond semi hollow and it's about 80% a mono for 50% the price. Will fit most basses that aren't pointy.

I have one of these and I really like it. It's a tight fit, which is part of what I like about it. That means my bass doesn't shift around a lot inside. There is some removable padding to make extra space. I haven't had any issues, but I can imagine some larger basses may have trouble fitting comfortably.

I know OP’s all set but I wanted to offer a comment. I see Pro-Tec Contego bags are down around $125 US at present. Assuming it’s the same quality as my 5 yr old one, that’s a lot of protection for the money. It seems like robust competition has lowered gig bag prices in general. But if you want ultimate protection, the Gator Icon is unbelievable! …way more than $100.
