I always feel like I should be less comfortable with Explorers, but I'm not. I just always struggle keeping the neck on Strat-shaped basses from diving and keeping the body at a playable angle. Maybe I'm missing something, but they aren't comfortable. Wish I didn't have as much trouble with them but whatever. I like my basses to be big and bouncy so I prefer Exploders!!

Now, it's not to say that I'm exempt from playing all P-shaped basses (look at my Roadstars)...just can't play them in all situations 'cos I'm a meathead

I as just jamming to some Yes songs on my Hamer...god dam...so incredible. I needed that short jam (even with my cast on...just not using my ring finger). Way too much fun to play bass

I'm excited about getting my crazy rig/bass ideas going!!

My sentiments exactly, C'thulhu...

It's called a Gibson RD bass. It was intended to be a John Entwistle signature, but that kinda fell through (he was past the Fenderbirds at that point--more interested in explorers and buzzards). I believe ibson collaborated with Moog to make a really wacky, incredible, and diverse system pf electronics especially for that series, which is a good deal of what makes them so valuable. Not to mention the sexy looks
