Best Metal for Bass

Not a metal player, but when I saw Arch Enemy it clicked.

Pick style, guitar-riff doublin' metal bass is all about filling out the frequency spectrum. Those down-tuned guitars shine in the mid region. You scoop the mids out of a bass, throw on a bit of overdrive and play pick style, now you have a nice loud cradle for the drums and guitars to sit in. People are hearing the guitars, but they're FEELING the bass. Trouble is, this doesn't usually translate on a recording.

Go see a top-notch metal band live though.

I played metal imn high school, but never was really into it, then a few years ago i went to see Rob Zombie with Ozzy Ozzborne, It was amazing, one of the best shows I ever saw, Ozzy is the Jerry Garcia of heavy metal, he made 5 Hells Angels cry, then I saw them in the parking lot after, one was skipping. Neat.

i like this band
