Best mic for a bass amp

If I had to mic a cab:

Live: Sennheiser MD441, MD421 (and if it´s the old white version better still), Shure 545 Unydine, AKG D12 (in good shape)
Studio: Neumann TLM 170, U87, AKG C3000

This are just a few I´d pick out from my collection.

I have 2 of the old Telefunken made white MD421's, use them in the studio for bass applications all the time. sound great

Heil PR40 has always worked for me without complaint. Keep it a few inches away form the grill to get a more balanced and less "woofy" tone.
I have been totally amazed at how versatile the Heil PR40 is! Used it for live FOH vocals and it was killer. Even had someone from the audience say at the first note of the singer he could tell that I was using an extremely high quality mic. Miced bass cab - killer. Recording spoken word for DVDs - killer. Just a fantastic mic!
