Best mic for basscabinet

Long time 421 user here. I've never broken the clip ... You would have to be an animal to do so ... Now Shure type clips - those I've creamed while being reasonably careful... so I have an extra or two in the kit. never felt it was worth it for the Senn but carrying a spare is not a major deal really.

These days I sing on a 421. Love it...

I have three 421's and they are fantastic, but come on! Those clips are terrible!

AT25 is great...have one of those as well as two RE20's (still my fave, though it is VERY subjective)...I also have a D112 (everyone hates them, but they are useful at times) an older D12, which is really good...for the studio I still prefer ribbon mics...AEA R84 with an RE20 and life gets very sweet on the low end of things :)
