So many excellent choices these days!
Fwiw I'll tell you my choice that solves my needs:
I play everything from low volume jazz on double bass to loud blues festival stages.
So I have a variety of different cabs, and am often trying new cabs.
Therefore I can't just match one head to one cab and one bass -- they're all so different.
Rather, I need super flexibility. No matter what the gig/cab/bass, I need to dial in the right balance of cut-in-the-mix, and oomph-in-the-belly! Lol :^)
My main micro amp is the MarkBass F500 because it has 4 band EQ, with 2 sweepable mids.
Any head has adequate High and Low shelving;
but if I want more low "kick" with a small speaker, I don't actually want more Low shelving, cuz that brings in a bunch of ~ 60hz. Which limits your maximum volume, cuz those sub freqs challenge the limits of the driver extension.
When I want to feel my "lows" more, what I _really_ want is an octave above that, leaving the sub freqs alone.
On the F500 I can tune the Low Mid to 125hz -- perfect! (For some reason, the sweepable mid on my GenzBenz Shuttle 9.0 won't reach that oomph I look for.)
(Mind you, an outboard HighPassFilter such as the FDeck will allow you to use any Low Shelving for the same purpose; but that's another thing to wire up and keep batteried up.)
For the most headroom imaginable I sometimes bring my Carvin BX1500, which is a bigger 2 rack spaces -- but still light like some micros, and with all the EQ you could need.
Another micro with flexible EQ is the TC RH750. Just search the threads thoroughly about it.
