Best Mini Comp for the buck???

Hey y'all,
I've been searching for a replacement mini-comp for my board, I've been rocking with the Xotic Sp Comp for a couple of years now, it's done its work and I haven’t that many issues with it per se. But I'm still not set in stone in my decision, I chose the xotic sp at the time since it seemed better than the other options, but is there any that I may need to revisit? I've been thinking of trying some out, but I also want to know y'all's experiences. I'm in the market for mini comp, since that's all the space I have on my board, also I'm not a fan of too many knobs myself.
Thanks.

The TC SpectraComp would be my choice for a small footprint pedal and is what I would use, if I couldn’t spare the extra 1.5” for the EBS Multi-Comp. I love the flexibility of the Dual Band option, with its inner trim pots / crossover that allow you to control the compressor for the High and Low frequencies.

It needs to be said that the Becos minis, at $169 and $209, are significantly more expensive than the tc electronic SpectraComp at $119, and are fundamentally different beasties.

The Becos units are wideband analogue compressors and the SpectraComp is a digital multiband compressor. The Becos units are obviously easier to use, but the SpectraComp is going to offer much more control over compressor settings, provided you understand how to use them.

Given that the OP was asking for the "best mini comp for the buck", I think it's short-sighted to say "look no further than Becos".

I think that it also needs to be said that compression is one of the most useful tools for bass guitar, and because of that, I wouldn't necessarily restrict my choice of compressors to mini pedals. I'd sooner restrict my choices of other effects to save space than compromise on my compressor. Currently, the Boss BC-1X Bass Comp is on my main bass pedalboard, and the SpectraComp is on my mini bass pedalboard. If you are going to consider larger units, a lot of people will tell you to look at either the Origin Effect Cali76 Compact Bass or the Source Audio Atlas, as well.

The Becos minis are hard to beat at that size.
First response out of the box beat me to it...
Right now they're kinda hard to find if you want one shipped immediately. I got mine and had no clue that it it was a huge blessing to find one in stock someplace.
If mine fried for some reason and I had to have a replacement right now, I'd probably go for a Keeley Bassist. It's a little bigger the BECOS, but it's still not that big and sounds really good. Only reason I don't use the Keely myself is that the BECOS sounds very similar, is smaller and has a few more settings.

Agree with you, and the question did say best bang for the buck :)

I have the Spectra (used it before switching to my Stomp XL) cool in that it is totally configurable and multi-band, certainly worked well for me.
