Behringer Bass V-Amp pro into a Behringer BX 1200. Because it's what I've got and there's no extra scratch to even bother looking at anything else. Sure fills the living room with sound and someday I'll even get it to sound the way I want, or reasonably close.

As other's mentioned, there is no real "best" bass amp. A lot of it is personal preference. With many factors to consider It's really about what you want. What is great for one bassist may not be so great for the next. I personally like Peavey and Mesa/Boogie amps and cabs, but that is me.

Oh, the Heritage is great, just not as valuable or desirable as an original, and no, I couldn't imagine taking a vintage and somewhat rare amp like that to a bar gig with questionable power, drunk ********, etc. Just like I don't take my expensive basses to the worst dive bars either. Now maybe to a real stage show where I have a bit more control, then I'd probably do it.

I am not a Troll.

I have seen this suggested numerous times.

I do not understand what is wrong with asking people for their opinion. I am not grading any posts or denigrating anybodys opinions. Simply asking as I am personally interested, primarily because I do not have the depth of experience with different bass amp mfg's that many members here have. Of course it is subjective. Thats what an opinion is, an opinion.

For those who were kind enough to respond I would like to say thank you. I appreciate you taking the time and sharing your thoughts.

I'm always paranoid bring my gear to a bar. It was too difficult to aquire. I don't want anything to happen to it.

At the same time I like to put my best foot forward and thats why I got the stuff to begin with. So I will take it out but I am very mindful of it.

"Best" to me has to do with reliability, weight, and tone. It's a trade-off sometimes, though. I can't make my LMIII sound like an SVT, but the weight factor overides that since, after all, the head sounds good to me anyway. I can do a lot with the LMIII. And it's very reliable, so far. At least you hear less about failures than some others.

That's my opinion. (My carrots remark was just all in fun. No bad vibes intended).

Chicago Bears because I rooted for them.
New Glarus Beer because I threw up to them.
