Best P-Bass for $400

Can get a great Classic Vibe, Freeman sig or VM Squier for less that $400...imho and ime there is nothing i these basses that prevent a player from.delivering

Uses MIM can be good value..quite like the post 2010s

Used MIA Furys as well as the yammy BBs

Guess all I am saying is that there are plenty of decent/working quality Ps for that kind of scratch

Squier Classic Vibe 60 P = Nice vibe ,solid build, stable neck, OK-weight, easy-playing-vintage-fret, great looking, worth for money.
I’m with Yahboy on this one. I found a mint used 60’s Pbass in sonic blue and it kills!
I got it for 200.00. I happened to be in the right place at the right time.

I love the MIA Fury - it's a real solid P-bass. Peavey made both the Super Ferrite and the split-P version, and both are great...and either can be had for $150!

I've owned a couple of MIM P's (one was a P/J Special) and both were good basses, but in my opinion, I've never played a MIM that I've liked as much as the Fury.

I just got an unbelievable deal on a pristine '05 MIA Std. P a couple of days ago and I can't put it down. It's so simple, yet it may be the best bass that I've ever played. I brought this up because there are some great deals out there, you just have to be patient and get lucky with your timing. Good luck.

I'd say a squier vintage modified or a classic vibe. I have the VM in amber with maple fretboard. You can get them for around 279$

Great basses for the price. I have a Squier VM Tele bass. The BurstBucker neck pup is very powerful but the Jazz bridge pup is weak. I replaced it with a Seymour Duncan Jazz quarter pounder bridge pup. Now the bass is awesome!

The bass was $349.00. The Seymour Duncan quarter pounder was $70.00 plus $40.00 installation by my local luthier. Just a little more than $400.00 total that you want to spend but well worth the upgrade. IMHO.
