Best phaser for bass

need to achieve somewhat of the cochise feel (audio slave).. did anyone here have a review on the Morphine Dream™, retro sonic or pigtronix.. some of these seem to have too many expensive options for me on bass at this time, but the fuzz or distortion capability on the Loud Button Morphine seemed cool.. but pricey

Its not a review, but it should give you a nice idea of how the Morphine Dream sounds (which seems pretty awesome).

That Morphine Dream pedal is absolutely insane sounding! Would love to afford something like that.
Funny how a lot of us tend to be in the same situation when it comes to pedal GAS. I'm also on a phaser kick and for my price-point I had narrowed it down to the Grand Orbiter and the Psilocybe. After some consideration and extensive listening to any any demos I could find, I chose the Psilocybe. I felt it sounded better in the demos, although I'm aware that it might just be the demo creator was simply a better sound engineer.
Anyhoo, I'll report back once I've recieved it and played with it.

I'm really happy with my Retro-Sonic phaser. The best thing I can say about is that it sounds exactly like I want a phaser to sound. It's got that classic Phase 90 character, with plenty of low end. The RS phaser also has a volume control, which allows you to match your effected and bypassed levels. I usually end up boosting the effected volume just a smidge in order to match the dry tone...

Phase Shifter. This is a true modern classic. Phase Shifter, from the Akai Pro Analog Custom Shop is one of the more esoteric pedals in the product line..

I am Not sure which ones of these phasers are good for bass to be used with a tube amp, maybe into a (2006 <usa> svt cl or v-4) style distortion for a shot at the audio slave flavored phase, w/ dist sound..

If you can still find one these days, try an old Univox PHZ-1. My bandmate had one in 1974, used it mostly for guitar, but we did a recording session where we tried it on voice and it sounded so good we then blew about a half day's studio time just routing different instruments through the phase shifter.

Bass sounded ENORMOUS. Like woofer-bottoming, bowel-exploding, equilibrium-disturbing huge.

Admittedly it was also a good 3 or 4 times noisier than an MXR Phase90, so maybe not the best choice. (Also 10 times larger physically...the thing was bigger than some of today's micro-heads.)

I just picked up an EBS DPhaser and it's pretty sweet...

I'm honestly not much of a phaser aficionado, but it sounds amazing... rich and thick tones... tons of adjustability, including a bunch of dip-switches inside the pedal that I don't even understand. :D

I never even knew it existed until a few weeks ago... it kind of seems to be off the radar a little bit for some reason...
