Best pickguard color for Daphne Blue - Also NBD!

If you're sticking with a solid color, I've always been partial to mint pickguards with lighter blue paints like this.

i believe mint would be the vintage correct option, and would look great. though be careful, some modern productions of mint can be a little too green. a good mint leads one to wonder, "wait, does that white guard have a greenish tint to it?"

But if you are feeling adventurous a blue perloid would look like a million bucks!

I'm a huge mint fan except for on blue. It may be the period correct option, but I still prefer parchment with pastel blues:

Don't limit yourself to traditional solid colors. A pattern or at least a pearloid would look great and be more distinctive.

I know I know, yet another pickguard question. I scored this Highway 1 P bass yesterday in Daphne Blue - it's absolutely killer so far but the parchment (or maybe it's white?) guard seems a little boring to me. I have an aged Fender '62 tort guard laying around so I tossed that over top, but it looks a little 'busy' at first glance.

So what say you, TB? Tort, parchment, or something else?

Mint. I had this exact bass (which is the one I absolutely regret selling), and I went back and forth between a Fender '62 Tort guard and a Fender Pure Vintage '63 Mint guard. I settled on the Mint. Here are some pics from when I listed it. I gave the buyer the option of choosing which guard they wanted me to include. I ended up selling it locally in Chicago and the buyer chose the mint guard. Damn, wish I had this bass back. It had a David Allen P 1088 pickup in it and sounded amazing. Loved the nitro finish on this bass!

Mint, baby! Daphne is a bit brighter than Sonic blue, but they're comparable. This is what a mint guard looks like on a Sonic blue Precision. Congrats on the new bass!

I have a 2005 Highway 1. Yours looks an awful lot like my Sonic Blue one. I decided to go with a completely non-traditional, really-out-there choice for a pickguard. Nobody does this....

It came with a parchment/white/mint one like the ones above, but I can't resist me some tort.
