best place for a pickup

Still don't get how you can play with the strings so close together though!

Well, by the bridge for a tighter crunchier tone. By the neck is more warm, mellow tone. I personally think it should be in an area of a MusicMan Stingray.

i am also a big fan of the MM location,,, plenty of grunt & growl, but not boomy
