That may be The Four Seasons minus Frankie Valli. IIRC, I once saw this on TV & the bassist was doing the bulk of the vocals...anyway, I agree with you.

.One other quick point, one of my criterion for the final poll list is going to be can you recognize the song from the bass line? Some tunes have great playing but the bass line isn't the "signiture" part of the tune. For instance Stefan Lessard plays some great bass on some of the DMB stuff...

I get your point...I was going to mention "What Would I Say" back on page 1.
...even the RHCP's "Soul To Squeeze" or Missing Person's "Give", Chicago's "Beginnings", Elton John's "Rocket Man", etc.
Nice Pop bass parts, just not 'signature' enuff.
