Those are some nice tones indeed. Makes me want to play a bit with those settings and see what sound I can produce.
All of it, and I participated in the theead.
I am French and live in France so there’s no problem sending it over to fix the headphones output.
further more they plan to mod future unit straight out of the factory.
Perfect! That’s convenient. They might be able to get you one direct from the factory with the mod. The clean tone on that pedal is spectacular. The vintage dirt and modern drive, to me, were considerably less impressive, but that clean tone is magical.
I would consider this as the best bass sound. I would say my V4B / 212 with my Ultra JB is close:
I am buying the pedal for THIS clean tone. Clean but a meaty, warm, 810ish, Ampegy sound. It looks like that’s what the Revolt is great at.
The Darkglass may have a better engineering, it looks like a more complete pedal. Nothing can be improved (except reversing the filters that are weirdly placed). HOWEVER, is it the sound I like ? I am not sure about it.
For what it’s worth, both Amos Heller’s and Jayme Lewis’ videos with the Darkglass ADAM (which was a pedal I would never in a million years have considered) completely overturned my perception of Darkglass preamps and how they can be used and sound. Jayme Lewis’ “buy my merch” song made me audibly gasp in astonishment when he put the bass track in the mix.
The Revolt can probably get you in the ballpark, but that’s not quite the tone it has right out of the gate. For this kind of thing I’d look more to something like the Origin Effects Bassrig Super Vintage, but it doesn’t have a headphone out so it probably won’t work for you without a separate headphone amp.
IMHO, I don't here anything in that tone that cannot be reproduced by a simple Ampeg SCD-DI...
I ended up getting the Darkglass Vintage Ultra V2. I should receive it next week, and have my ny power supply in the next weeks.

Quilter Interbass....the only compromise would be you'd need a 1/4" >>> XLR cable because the balanced out is 1/4". Otherwise it checks all the boxes and more, since the return of the parallel FX loop can be used as an aux in and it serves as a backup/ tiny amp that can even keep up with a drummer if the cab is large enough (45 watts @ 4 Ohms/ 35 @ 8 Ohms). It sounds fantastic.....vintage and modern/kleeeen cab sims, very SVT-ish overdrive sound if desired/pushed, powerful active eq, phones out. It's an amazingly toneful and versatile piece of gear.
I'll throw in the DiCosimo Audio 360, the Viva Analog 360+ (both based on the old Acoustic 360 preamp) and any of the Pearce-based Suncoast preamps.
I received the Darkglass Vintage. I like it, but somehow it sounds almost neutral. A tiny little bit too cold.
I tried the ReVolt (only a few minutes though) and was very convinced by the clean channel.

Agreed on the bass box. If I had known about it before hand I wouldn't have been in possession of at least half the pedals I own. It's really great. To me it's the final word in amp in the box tech.
