Of course, there is no "best", the criteria are to many and too varied and too non-specific. My "favorite" rock vocalist is probably Roger Daltrey, could fill a stadium, with real balls to his voice.

Oh, and Janis Joplin.

The best Rock and Roll vocalist, on the other hand, is Little Richard.

What is this niggling little distinction? Little Richard is the best singer. There is no one who comes close. Well, except maybe Mitch Ryder. Kids these days! Get off my lawn!
