Best Tuner For Bright Sunlight

OK, I did a search, and this thread popped up, so I'm going to zombie it and see if there's any news on the outdoor-tuner-visibility front. I just played a couple of outdoor gigs in bright sunlight and could not see the display on my Boss TU-2 at all. Not sure I want to spend $199 to get a Peterson. Other options? A clip-on? A different pedal tuner? What out on the market now, six years later?

TC Polytune. Played several outdoor shows this summer with no issues whatsoever. Best tuner I've ever owned in every aspect and at a very reasonable price.

How about checking out the new Sonic Research Turbo Tuner ST-300 mini? The screen is supposed to be bright enough to see in direct sunlight.
(I have received mine, but do not yet have a power supply. It's supposed to be coming in tomorrow.)

+1 on the Korg Pitchblack.

You can usually find a basic used one around $50, works great and does fine in sunlight.

Yes, I have. Works great. Very bright display, quick, and a small footprint. It also solves my issue with the ST-200, which is I can hear a 'click' sound when switching the ST-200 on and off. Not so with the ST-300 mini. It's totally quiet.

But the correct answer is the new TC Polytune BlackLight. Can't beat a PolyTune, and this one excels in sunlight.

Local guitar store had the polytune 2 mini in stock so I grabbed one. Playing a party this weekend, I assume outside, so we'll see how it works.
