I can't believe this thread got so deep into it before mentioning an LS-2.
Boss LS-2.
LS-2 or Carl Martin Matchbox will give you two inputs with volume control. Then just use the eq knobs on your basses, that's what they're there for.

I have one channel set up with a bit of dirt for my P-Basses and the other channel is set fairly clean.
